Sealed Maintenance Free (SMF) batteries — also known as Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) or AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries — are the most widely used battery type for UPS systems. They require no water topping, produce no liquid spillage risk, and can be installed in any orientation.
Available from 7 Ah to 200 Ah capacity, in 12V, 24V, 48V configurations. Lifespan of 3–5 years under normal operating conditions (ambient temperature ≤25°C).
